Gun Barrel - Bombard your Soul

„Bombard your Soul“ von der Kölner Band „Gun Barrel“ wurde im letzten Jahr veröffentlicht und wird erst jetzt bei uns gewürdigt weil die Band so nett war mit ein Exemplar zu schicken. Da haben wir nun wirklich etwas verschlafen, die Band tritt mit ihrem Heavy Rock n’ Roll tierisch in den Arsch. Der Stil von „Gun Barrel“ gefällt mir verdammt gut, es geht zwar weniger in die Sleaze Richtung, aber hier wird ordentlich abgerockt. Man kann die Band irgendwo zwischen „Motörhead“, „Running Wild“ und „Rose Tattoo“ einordnen, also hier sei versichert das es feurig zu und her geht. Für die Deutschen ist „Bombard your Soul“ bereits der dritte Longplayer, mit Frontman „Xaver Drexler“ präsentieren „Gun Barrel“ übrigens einen neuen Sänger der mir verflucht gut gefällt. Die Scheibe beginnt nach dem Intro mit zwei fetzigen Party Killern, „Dear Mr. Devil“ und „Down & Dirty“, danach schweift man etwas in die „Running Wild“ Richtung ab, aber ich muss gestehen das mir auch diese Tracks sehr gut gefallen. Bei „Lights & Shadows“ singt „Drexler“ in bester „Rock n’ Rolf“ Manier, dieser Titel ist übrigens ein fetter Mitgröhler. Als Schweizer hat mit der Bandname vorher wirklich nicht viel gesagt, aber hey ich kann euch versichern, „Gun Barrel“ habs drauf und nebst 11 geilen Songs, ist auch die Produktion nicht zu verachten. Wer auf coolen Rock n’ Roll steht und dabei auch noch Power Metal Fan ist, der wird hier auf den Knien rutschen, „Bombard your Soul“ ist in meinen Augen ein starkes Album das zu wenig Aufmerksamkeit bekommen hat.

„Bombard your Soul“ from the Cologne band „Gun Barrel“ got issued in the last year and now gets honored first at us, because the band was so nice to send a specimen to me. There we have really missed something, the band kicks bestial in the ass with their heavy rock’n’roll. The style of „Gun Barrel“ pleases me damn good, but it goes less into the sleaze toward, but here it will rocked tidy. You can arrange the band somewhere between „Motörhead“, „Running Wild“ and „Rose Tattoo“, be insuret that it works fiery here. „Bombard your Soul“ is the third longplayer for the Germans, by the way „Gun Barrel“ present a new singer with „Xaver Drexler“, which pleases me fucking well. The disc starts with two brilliant party killers, „Dear Mr. Devil“ and „Down & Dirty“, you rove a little bit into the „Running Wild“ toward after that, but I must confess, that these tracks please me very well too. „Drexler“ sings in best „rock’n’roll“ manner at „Lights & Shadows“, by the way this title is a fat sing with. The band name hasn’t told much to me as Swiss, but hey I can insure you, „Gun Barrel“ have it and the production isn’t to despise next to the eleven ace songs. Who tends to cool rock’n’roll and near by is a power metal fan too, who will rush on the knees here, in my eyes „Bombard your Soul“ is a strong album, that has got to less attention.
