English Version:
The Swedish band „Pax“ presents modern hard rock on their debut album, on the label „Roasting House Records“. Brothers “Michael” and “Christian Fridh” deliver strong melodies, you can like them as a hard rock and as a modern rock fan. The mix is really furious and the music is absolut carrying away. The opener “10’000 words” proves itself as a catchy tune and counts together with “Drowning” to the absolute highlightes on this fine disk. You can compare them sooner to “Gun”, I really know no band with a similar style. The melancholic ballad “Tears” shines in a whole bright light, the Swedish people only can’t rock, they also write fabolous ballads, of course a point who speaks for the guys. The production is pretty fat, the beats, guitars and choruses come fantastic on the point. I never would have expected a melodic firework. The album could also match well at “Negative” fans, here it rocks more, but the partly melancholic way could absolut address to even named group. No question, the record is nothing for true metal fans, but who tends to first-class rock should notice the name “Pax”.
“10’000 Words” is really a magnificent melodic album, somehow it works timeless too. (Translation by Dominic)
