Pleasure Maker - Love on the Rocks

Was ganz feines aus Brasilien ereichte mich die Tage, Pleasure Maker nennt sich die Band um den Gitarren-Wizard Alex Meister und diesen Namen schreibt euch mal auf die Einkaufsliste. Diese, bereits 2004 erschienende, CD hat es in sich und lässt den Zuckerhut wackeln. Bisher war Brasilien eher dafür bekannt Metal-Bands hervorzubringen oder noch härteres, doch Hardrock war da bisher Mangelware. Pleasure Maker ändern das von nun an und legen sich im Land von Nutten und Fußball ordentlich für uns ins Zeug.

Das Album wurde von Gitarrist Alex hervorragend produziert und kann international auf allen Ebenen mithalten. Sauberer Hardrock der Güteklasse A, haben die 3 Pleasure Maker hier auf Silikon gebrannt. Ein bisschen Whitesnake der 80ger,Danger Danger , Tyketto, Def Leppard und auch Bon Jovi sind die Einflüsse welche ich hier raus hören kann. Sänger C. Marshall passt mit seiner klaren und hellen Stimme wie der Arsch auf den Eimer. „Out of control“ fetzt ab und „Just thinkin´about you“ lädt uns, mit seinem treibenden Riff zum abrocken ein. Der Hit auf diesem Album ist der Song „Pleasure Maker“, der zwar mit einem Drumcomputerbeat unterlegt wurde, es doch sehr pfundig nach 80ger klingt. Ganz großer Song haben sich die 3 hier ausgedacht. Die erwähnt ja selbst im Info das auch Duran Duran zu ihren Einflüsse zählen. So arg schlagen die aber nicht durch, keine Sorge es bleibt eine reinrassige Hard´n Heavy-Scheibe. Schon mit „Know how“ bretzeln uns die Brasilianer den nächsten Hupfler um die Ohren und rocken als wenn es Grunge und New-Metal nie gegeben hätte.

Wie es sich gehört haben Pleasure Maker auch den ein oder anderen geilen Schlüpferstürmer (sprich Ballade) im Programm und runden somit eine wirklich gelungene CD ab. Some very nice surprise reached me out of Brazil the last days. Pleasure Maker is the name of the great Band around Guitar-Wizard Alex Meister. This Band is a must have for your shopping list. The Band changed my point of view that Brazil is just the land of football and carnival. Pleasure Maker really knocks me out of my Shoes; just like Grunge and New-Metal never existed they rock this cool CD.

Alex Meister produced this CD by himself and he did a great job in that way. Fine Hardrock in the vain of 80ties Whitesnake, Danger Danger, Tyketto, Def Leppard and god ol Bon Jovi, are the influences of the group. Singer C Marshall has the perfect clear voice for this kinda music. “Out of Control” really fires me up and I can’t stop rocking by listen to “Just thinking about you”. The Hit on this album is the Song “Pleasure Maker”, with his 80ties-like Drum computer-Beat, but this tune is cool. The band says that Duran Duran was also an influence for them. But with “Know how” you will have the essence of pure Hard rock back again.

On every good Hard´n Heavy CD, you must find some great clam tunes, know as ballads. Yeah right, Pleasure Maker has a few great ones here. .
