Toyz - House of Cards

Ein starkes Stück “Rock” wird uns hier mit “Toyz – House of Cards” geboten. Im Stil von „Bon Jovi“ spielt die aus Frankreich stammende Band, einen Sound mit vielen 80er Einflüssen und starken Melodien. „Heart beats Alone“ überzeugt mit einem schönen „AOR Touch“. Das ganze wirkt zum Glück aber nie wirklich seicht und zu soft, die Jungs können wirklich ganz schön rocken. Ich denke live kommt ihr Soundgewand um einiges Härter rüber. Mit „Luke Marcheciel“ verfügen „Toyz“ über einen außergewöhnlich guten Sänger, der hier sein gesamtes Können zeigt. „Castle of Cards“ der Titeltrack ist eine schöne akustische Ballade, die Melodie hört sich sehr gut an, erinnert mich Einbisschen an „Foreigner“. Die Keyboards müssten meiner Meinung nach nicht so aggressiv eingemischt sein, das stört mich, allerdings wird so was einem „AOR“ Fan sicherlich wieder gefallen. Teilweise klingen diese Keyboards übrigens wie „Jon Lords“ Orgel Spiel bei „Deep Purple“.

„Anything to prove“ ist sicherlich ein Anspiel-Tipp, dieser Track verfügt über einen tollen Refrain und er geht ganz schön ab. Die zweite Ballade „I will return“ ist auch nicht von schlechten Eltern, toller Gesang und ebenfalls ein wunderbarer Chorus.

In „House of Cards“ sollten vor allem Rock und AOR Fans in einem Plattenladen unbedingt reinhören. „Toyz“ ist eine Band mit tollen Musikern und schönen Melodien, wer auf alten Rock steht der wird „Toyz“ lieben.
